Nylon Gear

Here is a small article about a lefthanded reel I found on a fleamarket, the reel was original when I bought it , the thing that caught my eye was the engraving on this reel, inverted, I did not have this version.

I started cleaning the reel, and opened it, WOH there was a suprise, a NYLON  transfer gear, had seen some before but mostly in a right handed version, never in such a early full bail .

So I started cleaning the rest of the reel and there was another strange thing with this reel, inside the housing was a marking  " Thecla F 857.A1 "  never seen that before.

Is there anybody who has seen this marking in a reel before, please contact me, I want to find out what this means.!!!!

I think this was a experimental reel, not sold much, the reel has a srl number so it is sold to the public.

Another thing that caught my eye was the " not" reinforced " rotor, there where the bail is attached to the reel on the opposite side of the bailspring.

I think a rare reel, open for any comment and discussion, please contact me through the " contact"  button for info.

Update:

Got some new information from Christian Lhermitte, a French collector.
He confirms this gears are only found in left handed version from that time period.
Thecla was a factory in France , started in 1925, and was specialized in ZALMAK casting.
This factory was located in Delle in France.
He also had a reel like this but with moldings in the sideplate to.
