This reference was written to help collectors match model 300 reels to the correct box. The book is published in full color with over 120 photographs. Information can be cross-referenced to other models; however, all pictures in the book are of Mitchell 300 boxes and plastic packages. Correct paperwork is photographed with many of the boxes. There are no reel pictures in this book; only boxes, paperwork and plastic packages. Identification is primarily based on the reel’s serial number when applicable. There are several pages with charts and examples describing in detail Mitchell 300 reel and box dating. New theories are revealed, some of which have never been published before.

The book contains a total of 76 quality color laser printed pages formatted in a user-friendly field guide 8.5” x 5.5” format. Many pictures are of extremely rare and highly sought after Mitchell 300 boxes from the collections of many well know collectors.
