Upcoming weeks I sell a big part of my collection.
If you are searching for some reels, send me an email.
Starting this week with a Mitchell Rapid see under the for sale section.
Also a massive lot of parts coming up for sale.
I have bought a nice Mitchell 300 with a rare decal sticker.
This reel came from Sweden, so help from Swedish collectors is most welcome.
Please look at the sticker and maybe you can tell me what distributor used this in Sweden.
I looked in all my tackle books but can not find any info on connections between Mitchel and Swedish retailers.
Let’s solve this mistery…………
Here some pictures: the decal is a small sticker like Albatros used on the early reels, same material, very easy to damage, but this one is still intact.
Looks like JB or just a B.
email me if you might have any info.
Here a reel that is hard to find.
The Mitchell 400 special in the original box.
The reel has a warranty paper dated: 01/08/1965
Sold in the tackle shop Ronald Fenger in Rotterdam in the Netherlands.
Ronald Fenger was a well known Tournament Caster in the 1960’s
The reel is mint I think never used and the box can be rated as super rare, in the box the spare spool unused.
First edition Mitchell 400, round screw end on the handle
The box top was in bad shape when I bought it, taped and torn but my friend Emile did this job again, to restore it to almost new condition.
THANKS EMILE !!!!!!!!!!!!
Here is a nice item for my collection.
It is a Mitchell ALBATROS cigarette lighter.
Never seen one before, so might be a rare one, I think only used for promotion.
The lighter shows a Mitchell 300 with spring loaded handle for the 50’s.
The Albatros and Mitchell Logo are engraved as on the Mitchekl reels.
I will clean it and try to start it up again.
enjoy the pictures.
Jan Nico Nugter, Carp fishing
Here a picture of a old skool set-up.
Mitchell 410 special on a Gerry Savage rod.
Jan came to me a few weeks ago, and asked me to help him to bring this Mitchell 410 to live again.
Now he is fishing this reel again, and the result is shown here.
Good to see the old reels in full swing again.
Next picture the rods and reels on a fishing trip.
That is why I love old reels.
Super rare Mitchell cut away reel on a original Mitchell stand.
I found out it was made by and for the Comp. ” Asbjørn Hørgård” , a retailer of fishing tackle in Norway.
The reelstand is marked with their logo.
Reels are all factory original, and hard to find.
Mitchell 300, Mitchell 308, Mitchell 306, Mitchell 304.
The Mitchell 308 is the rarest, first version with “France” on the body.
The reel stand is in, and what a perfect piece for a collection.
The reels are all factory cut / original, and spin like new ones, I have to clean them one by one, because a lot of dust came in over the years.
Will do that later, but first some pictures taken of the reels.
I only show one side of the reels, because there are to many people out there with a cutting saw who want to destroy our hobby and sell home made reels on the internet..
The display as I have it in display in my living…..
As you can see the website is updated, and I am still working on it.
More reels are added in the Collection Gallery and more will come.
The website does work a little different than the old one , but .take your time to navigate and brows.
Under the for sale section , I will list reels and boxes that are for sale, if you want info about a reel just fill in the form that will appear, under the reel you are looking at.
For repair parts, just send me an email, their will be a “Parts” section later.
Enjoy the website and feel free to to write me if you think something does not work are has to be changed.
